A near head-on collision sent three people to the hospital and shut down a stretch of Lakey Siding Road near Robbins for over an hour Tuesday evening.
The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Lakey Siding Road and Big Horn Road. According to state troopers, the driver of a Honda Accord was traveling on the wrong side of the road when the vehicle collided headlight-to-headlight with a Ford Edge.

Investigators say the driver of the Edge swerved in an attempt to avoid the oncoming Accord, but the two vehicles still made contact, causing both to spin out in the roadway.
Two people from the Ford Edge were transported to the hospital by ambulance. The driver of the Accord was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, troopers said.
Lakey Siding Road was closed for just over an hour while crews cleared the scene and investigators worked to determine what led up to the crash.
The driver of the Accord is charged with failure to maintain lane control, according to authorities.
