A two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Lobelia Road (Highway 690) and McGill Road sent three people to the hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries, according to officials.
The N.C. State Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. when the driver of a Nissan Versa attempted to turn left from McGill Road onto eastbound Lobelia Road toward Fort Bragg. Troopers said the Versa failed to yield to a Toyota RAV4 that was traveling straight across the intersection to remain on McGill Road.

The Crains Creek Fire Department closed the westbound lane of Lobelia Road and directed traffic through the intersection while emergency crews were on the scene.
All three occupants of the Nissan Versa were transported to the hospital. No injuries were reported for the driver of the RAV4.
Troopers charged the driver of the Versa with failure to yield the right of way.
The roadway was completely reopened around 5 p.m.
