A mobile home in the 800 block of Lonnie Road sustained significant damage Saturday afternoon after a fire broke out around 2 p.m., according to fire officials.
A deputy from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office was first on scene and reported heavy smoke and visible flames coming from the residence, located just off Plank Road outside Robbins. While firefighters were able to contain the blaze, the kitchen area suffered the most fire damage, and the entire structure was affected by smoke and heat. Part of the roof also collapsed as a result of the fire.

Tragically, three dogs inside the home did not survive, authorities confirmed.
After the fire was extinguished, several neighbors arrived to assist the homeowners, helping retrieve valuable belongings from the damaged structure.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Moore County Fire Marshal’s Office.
